Just keep moving.

That's what I have to keep telling myself. I hit a little snag last week and it caused some frustration but I have remedied that. Unfortunately, I have to deal with a few more days of side affects before I can really move forward.

I found out that my suspicions last year were 100% accurate and my birth control was affecting my weight loss. I have issues with the pill so my Dr recommended the patch. I loved it because it was a no brainer, put on a new one every Sunday for 3 weeks then leave it off for a week.  However, while using the patch I noticed that during the weeks I wore it, my weight loss would be minimal to nothing and then the weeks I didn't wear one I would lose around 3 or so pounds. I quit taking it in the fall to see if that was what was causing my plateau and because my husband was leaving so I didn't really need it. The plateau continued so I wasn't sure if my bc really had an affect on things or not. Well, last week I decided to go back on the patch since I will see my husband next month and kids are not on our list. When I weighed in on Saturday, I had gained weight after last weeks 3 lb loss. I decided to ditch the patch and over the next 24 hours, I lost all the weight thanks to frequent restroom stops. I had been retaining water. Now however I am dealing with monthly symptoms since I stopped my bc. I'm just glad that I am back where I was a week ago and now I know that I wasn't crazy. We are simply going to have to find alternative methods while he is home next month, then once he is home, depending on the amount of weight I have lost we will figure out the next step.

So last week was frustrating with the issues I had with the second phase of the workout and the bc. Now I am hoping I can get things straightened out and keep moving forward. I only have a few weeks before I see my husband and I would really like to need a little shopping spree before then.

Hi Mallory,
I just came across your blog and I read all your archives. I was moved, inspired and was brought to tears a number of times. I believe you inspire people and encourage other to try what they think is impossible. With God everything is possible.
I also ran the Tinker Bell and look forward to doing that again and running the Princess 1/2 for the first time in 2013. Finally going after my goal of Coast to Coast. I hope I see you on the race course !! God Bless. Vicki
