Princess Half in Disney World, Feb 26, 2012 in under 3 hoursFinished in 3:39
Even though I did not reach the goal I had set of finishing in under 3 hours at the Princess, I reached the goal of finishing. I had forgotten this list until today and I had forgotten that I posted wanting to finish in that time. Knowing now what I didn't know then, I hate that I ever said that. I am glad that I forgot it though. I realized a few months ago that I was focusing on the wrong things while training and it almost cost me a few medals. I was wanting to finish with a good time so badly that I forgot finishing was the real goal and when my training was not on track for a good finish time, I almost quit. Fortunately, I was able to refocus and find the right motivation to move forward. The last few months of training were really hard for me and I almost threw in the towel. I am so glad that I didn't.
I know that I still owe you a race recap and I will get it done soon. There is just so much I want to say about it that I will need time to sort through all of my thoughts so that they come out right instead of just as ramblings(like my tink post).
Right now I am focusing on the future and what lies ahead in the next year. I have a long time before my next half and so I will be trying some new things soon. I will continue running but my focus will be on 5Ks for the next several months until it is time to start the Wine and Dine training this summer.
I will try to make a new goals list soon since there are lots of new things for me to put on there now.

Congrats to you---you met my daughter Kara at the Princess, and have talked to my other one Krista. I was at mile 7.5 with my four grands all in their jammies--we overslept...hope to meet you next time!! Good goals, and good work!!
